How most New Yorkers got in to work --- they walked!
They walked from the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens... over bridges and through tunnels. The rest came in by car, ferry or helicopter. Still, a vast majority of us telecommuted or took vacation days.
My heart goes out to those that have no option but to manage to get in to work for their daily wages. Let's hope this strike ends soon.
