Well, my demotion was made official today. But in a way it's a good thing, as I no longer work for Belzebub AND my reporting line shields me from baring the brunt of tirades, insanity and unprofessional behavior. I still get to keep my classification & rate of pay, so that's good
On the negative side this has been the first time ever I have been demoted or given a rating lower than a 4.0. That's a big blow both to my ego and self esteem. Oh well, C'est la vie !

Not to sound trite in any way shape or form, but everything happens for a reason and this just may end up being a good thing.
I'm sorry it came in the form of a demotion. Those are tough - and like you, I'm used to being the "shining star". But hang on to the knowledge that they don't know what the heck their talking about and that is more petty crap than actual truth.
